installation

One of the biggest benefits of stucco is that it can help make your home more energy efficient. However, if a stucco exterior is poorly installed or not maintained properly, several serious issues can arise. The most serious problem stems from water-related issues—specifically, excess moisture that becomes trapped in your home.

DIFFeRENT TYPES OF INSTALLATION

Inspections

EIFS: CP has been successfully installing EIFS/STUCCO systems for more then 20 years for commercial, residential and institutional projects. We are certified installers for all major brands.

eifs

(Exterior Insulation and Finish System)

EIFS are typically attached to the outside face of exterior walls with an adhesive (cementitious or acrylic based) or mechanical fasteners. Adhesives are commonly used to attach EIFS to gypsum board, cement board, or concrete substrates.

hardcoat stucco systems

Hard-coat stucco is applied either by hand or machine to exterior and interior wall surfaces in two or three coats. It may be applied directly to a solid base such as masonry or concrete walls, or it can be applied to a metal lath attached to frame construction, solid masonry, or concrete construction.

direct applied applications

Direct applied stucco is applied directly to unit masonry or concrete. While typically applied in two coats or layers, direct applied stucco may be two-coat or three-coat stucco. Two-coat stucco refers to a single coat of stucco applied to the substrate followed by a thin finish coat that can be applied in many different colors and finishes. In three-coat stucco, two coats of stucco are applied

before the finish coat.

Stucco Repair of NJ provides standards for stucco application including the thicknesses to be used for each layer of stucco, the proportions of aggregate to cement in stucco, preparation of substrate to receivestucco, and other standards for stucco application.

thin brick veneers

Thin Brick veneer made with full-size brick is laid on top of a ledge built into the concrete foundation walls or concrete footings. The base of the wall must be flashed to prevent moisture from getting behind the brick.  The framed wall behind the brick is covered with special sheathing or insulation or with standard plywood sheathing and building paper. Typically, there is a 1-inch air gap between the framed wall and the brick veneer. Let Stucco Repair of NJ Professional Install your Thin Brick Veneers.
